  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Has anyone tried the Tatuaje Verocu yet?

They have a regional release looking band on them.

I have found a nice stash of them around here, but for $10 I wanted to hear some things good or bad about them. I have only seen the west coast blend so far.

Any opinions?

I've had a West Coast and it was great, very tasty. They've got that tangy spice that ages well, I think in a year they will be so much better.

I have some East Coast too but haven't smoked one.

Pete Johnson has been quoted as saying these are Havana VI's on steroids. I haven't found that to be the case. They are comparable to the VI's but not really stronger or spicier IMO.

Ted

The West and East Coast are roughly the same cigars, other than the size. They are both great.. The West coast version is selling for about $10 out here too And i can get both versions very easily!

I love this cigar. Its my go to with the Oliva V at the B&M. Good strong cigar with lots of flavor. Wonderful.

I totally agree, I've enjoyed all the West/East that I've had, but don't really get the same flavor profiles as the regular Havana VI line. But they are a damn good smoke, I may just have to take one to the lounge on Thursday now that I read this!

The end is near for these smokes. lol. Taken off the NHC blog from his trip to Esteli.

"Over the course of the day - I talked my way into buying all of those remaining Verocu cabinets. It's perfect. It denotes the end of the East/West run of Verocu. The last few remaining cabinets will consist of unbanded cigars in foil - perfect for aging. Pete finally agreed. I hope to have them in a few weeks. Twenty some East Coast No. 2 and maybe ten West Side No. 1 cabinets. Sweet!"
