Couple of days ago it was an unseasonably nice day. Seems we've had a few lately, I'm not complaining! Anyway, I had some yard chores to do and too the opportunity to smoke a cigar that I normally wouldn't be able to given my normal time constraints.
Clipped easy, draw was a little on the loose side. I generally forget how much looser box press cigars are and neglect to take that into consideration when making my cuts. That said it wasn't an issue. Aroma of slightly sweet, cedar spice. Firing up the unfinished foot was easy enough with matches. Burn was good thoughout. Started off with a nice spice (cinnamonish with some nutty component) and some woodiness. By the half way mark the cigar got kind of dry and a little harsh, but a nice purge turned things around. Some leather joined the party and overall it was a very enjoyable smoke. I was a little surprised that I didn't get overpowered from the smoke as I haven't had a cigar in a little while and didn't really eat much for lunch. Considering this is based on the Cojonu blend I was a little underwhelmed I guess. At any rate, I very much enjoyed it!
