Tech help please!

Ok, so here is my issue...
My wife bought me an original NES and I am trying to hook it up to my garage tv. I only have one real option because this damn vizio smart tv does not have a/v hook up option so i have to use the rf connection. Problem being that my tv will not find channel 3 or 4. I have tried manually adding the channel but it just gives me an error message that it can not find the channel.
Anybody got any ideas?

Component, hdmi and coax

Try to find one of those (now discontinued) nes mini things and use HDMI. Or build a raspberry pi.

I would try Best Buy or wal mart. A/V to hdmi converter. Will probably look like crap but all that sweet nostalgia will be worth it. Good luck. Keep us posted

Trust me i have tried. My wife almost bought one for 160 but it was sold before she got there. And over a 100% markup.

Turns out the console itself was bad. I tried hooking it up to an old tv and used 2 different games. Hooked up by av and by rf with no picture either way.
