  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hi,
I have had my humis in the basement all summer which kept my smokes at 70% 70 degrees all summer. I know the temp will drop in the basement when the winter comes. How low can I let the temp go before the smokes will get ruined. I am just worried about fluctuating temps messing up the wrappers, ie cracking or peeling.
thanks.

dont let the cigars freeze. myself, i would be comfortablw with temps as low as 50. also, watch your hygrometers. keep your humidity levels normal.

Hey Ron,
Sorry to resurrect this post. The humidity in one of my humidors is sticking at about 64%. I plan on keeping my humis in the basement for now. My house is about 72f, I may want to move my humis upstairs. The temps haven't bottomed out here in NJ yet. Would this harm the smokes? It is about a 10 degree difference from the basement to upstairs. Thanks.

should be no harm. again, change in temps will effect humidiy levels, so just keep an eye on your hygrometer.
