Some of the Milagro Special Reserve and Romance ranges betweeen $100 and $240. It's good but I don't think it's that good. Hell I'll probably buy it next week.

I recently ran into the Milagro Reposado and it has found its place as a permanent fixture in my liquor cabinet. I've never tried it side by side with Patron, but I'm told there is very little difference. And the price is a hell of a lot better.

Milagro makes a very nice tequila. The silver line is excellent for margaritas and the select barrel reserve in the reposado and anejo are outstanding. The romance is kind of gimmicky but is very smooth.

I did see a disturbing news report on one of the cable channels that several agave farms are now converting to corn for the purpose of ethanol. If this is a coming trend we could conceivably be looking at a future decline in volume and quality of Mexico's best export.
