  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

gifted by one of BOTL's finest. (please respond if you want)

i feel privilaged to have been able to smoke this on my birthday.

a musty smell and dusty feel led to the same tastes on light up. my olfactory senses immediatly took me to an old work shed on my uncle les's farm when i was about 8 or 9.

a good even burn from the start, but the beginning was a little stale tasting.

it steadied and actually picked up a hint of tobacco flavor halfway through.

i was surprised by a somewhat strong finish. still had a musty taste but i could detect signs of what was once a great cigar

i took it to the nub. i wish i had met this cigar 50 years ago,i'm sure we would have been best friends.

although i hardly knew you, i miss you already, goodbye my friend...

Wow. Thanks for posting this Shuckins. That thing was rolled while the Nazis were invading Poland! Crazy...

Good work to the brother who sent it.

Nice review. The oldest I smoked was pre-embargo, that is all I know about it. No band, came out of a can way back in the early days of cigar smoking for me. Rough guess was 45 years old. It is a different feeling, I can only imagine 70 years.

You are a lucky man!

I've had oldies that wowed me and some that were ghosts. I wish this one had hit harder for you bro, you deserve it. Maybe you'll have better luck with a different oldie?
