Well, if the players can´t hear the Ref´s whistle... That ain´t good. Plus, i really prefer hearing the chants over the constant buzzing noise...

I get what you're saying but I hear them in games where no African team is even playing :scratchhe That'd be like me ringing a cowbell at a LSU vs. Alabama game. Makes no sense.

I too get what you're saying, but every game will have horns. They aren't reserved only for African teams. It's the world cup, the host country is South Africa, and the stadiums are over flowing with vuvuzelas! There are always some type of noise makers... none this bad imo. I enjoy drums, REAL horns, and some good chants. But it's all about the game! Just put the TV on mute and blast your Lion King sound track.

The nice part is they do it constantly and you tone it out somewhat. Now the guys on tv playing poker shuffling chips annoys the crap outta me.
