Well boys and girls,

Got the dreaded letter in the mail today from customs and boarder safety.

It's a notice of seizure letter.

I'm paranoid by nature, so my question is, should I be worried?

Forget about it. Nothing you can do about it and I haven't heard of anyone getting penalties from those letters in a very long time. If you get a few in a short period of time, then you could evaluate what you are doing and possibly make some changes.

I've had 2 letters over the last few years, with another likely coming. I have them both for framing. Don't reply (only reason they want a reply is if you are going to fight the seizure). You are done for all intents and purposes.

The recent flap about photograping mail? If they wanted to put the buyers in jail or crush them witrh fines, they would have already done it. Me thinks they have bigger fish to fry.

To answer your question, yes, D Quintero really thinks that. I don't think it really matters that much, personally.

Did your shipper guarantee it? I know some vendors will guarantee the product and refund your money, or resend it.

I'm not worried about grammar or whatever, but I ordered after this shipment. Some of you may remember the thread about bad shipments toward the end of march, well this was that. I ordered during the summer with no problems. Guess I dodged it, but getting the letter certainly jarred me a bit.

Obviously I'm not going to dispute it now. I got the reshipment.

So basically heed their advice and don't respond and just go on living....

Had a gift card from a vendor opened in the mail today. Thought it was odd. I think they have on file a list of most vendors. Or most addresses are in the system already as flagged. Wether they want to do anything is hit or miss IMO.
