  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Eli is a shadow of his older brother.
They have the same ammount of rings now...
Eli may never throw 49 TD's in a season, but I think he earned his right to not be known as someone who got a job just cause of his name.
He's grown and played well, and is certainly in the better half of QB's in the league.

"You will still suck"

,... You mean we may go back to sucking... at the moment, we are the champions, so you can't say we suck. And we did it without cheating ;-)

Another thing to remember, and I'm not a Giants fan, but the Giants are in a great salary cap position also. So they are in position to stay a very good team for the long term. They have a great core of young, talented players that are signed. The only big name free agent is Strahan. He'll want big money, and if the Giants are smart the WON'T give it to him and strap themselves with the cap. They've drafted some outstanding pass rushers, they can do with out him in spite of how great he played down the stretch.

I've also heard rumours that Shockey is done playing ball forever. If so, that frees up a lot of cash for new players.

I have heard/read the same.

Strahan is getting up there in age...if I were the Giants I would plant the idea of retiring while he is on top.

Where was this thread before their miracle win?

Same goes for your avatar. :grinFU:
Well, he did post this back in April well before the NYG's amazing year-end run.

But, yeah, any and all Mannings still suck. :grinFU:

I'm not sure what Strahan is going to do.

I think there is a very good possibility that he will retire. However, I believe he also has issues with alimony to his ex wife and he might need to play to be able to live up to those.

I think he's got another season in him for sure physically.
