Many years ago I worked as a tool and die maker. One of the tools used for layout work is called a machinist's scribe. While I haven't done this work for many years, I still have my tools.
I've found that my Starrett 70BX Pocket Scribe is the perfect tool for opening up the draw on tight rolled cigars and also works great as a nubbing tool. The best part is that the 2 7/8" carbide steel point fits in the handle so it can be carried in your pocket.
Starrett is one of the top manufacturer's of precision tools. The pocket scribe is no exception. Very well made.
