  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I was gifted this htf stick for a good friend & fellow botl. I promised I'd fire it up.
The Mombacho Thermonuclear Series 2006 was from Tabacalera Tropical. It is made from Nicaraguan tobacco from Cuban seed. Rumor has it the tobacco was grown on a hillside that had an active volcano. It is a triple Ligero stick.
I sniped this powerhouse & did a a little pre-draw. Nice smooth draw & lots of pepper. As I lit it & began to smoke the pepper taste hit me right out of the gate. It wasn't overbearing at all. It stayed very smooth & spicy.
Just before halfway the cigar took off the spicy black pepper taste grew with each puff. Man I'm glad I just had lunch. This is not a stick I'd smoke on an empty stomach. I also got a faint taste of leather.
The last third my head is spinning a bit. Man this keeps getting stronger. The [pepper is mixed with other spices now. The cigar keep a razor sharp burn line the whole time even outside in the wind. As I nub it down I'm amazed at how this cigar gained intensity the entire time I smoked it. A huge pepper & spice bomb! I can still taste pepper on my tongue as I'm typing this review.

I love a full flavor cigar as long as the flavor is above strength. I personally don't care for a cigar that just kills my taste buds so this cigar I don't think would be down my alley. However it was an excellent review and pics. I have never heard of this brand untill now. Thanks Joe!!
