  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Thinking about getting this Air Purifier for my office...

This!

They use this at one of my local B&Ms and I think it works outstanding. He has it in the main store part and people smoke in that part occasionally and it really cleans up the air VERY well!

Make sure you (please) come back and post if you end up getting one let us know what you think. I'm ready to go into my (unfinished and cold) basement, crack the emergency escape window and stand beside it so that I can enjoy a stick while stuck in the house)

I'm very interested to know how well this works.

I do a version of this now when I'm desperate. My condo has a back maintenance stairwell (all concrete) and it doesn't have a fire alarm, in a pinch I smoke in there and open the exterior for every few minutes to vent. Fresh air does we towers to eliminate odors. I say go for it :)

If I look at the worst-case scenario (where I am caught doing it or it smells up the house) then the dilemma is, which do I want more: a cigar or sex?

Duh, cigar. With cigars you can potentially pick a new partner.everytime...sex.... Not so much. Plus when your done with a cigar you dont have to cuddle with it.. You can just throw it in a bush

Hmmm.... plus it's easier/less-creepy to arrange a bunch of friends to gather and all have a cigar at the same time.

I have one of these in my living room and love it. The wife and I both have allergies and 2 Boxer dogs so it's a must for us. Great product and well worth the amount we spent on it.

Wife doesn't let me smoke in the house, sorry.

They do have different filter options when you buy it new, we picked the pet dander one for obvious reasons.

We leave it on the Auto setting and let it do it's job on it's own. It has a mood light on the front and tells you when the air is bad and will change color when it get's better.

I have a rabbit air A2
A 1200 cfm exhaust unit that replaces crap air with the fresh stuff.
And a Csonka bedroom Ozinator that cleans stale air but actually "eats" the connections on itself. Due to producing ozone. Go figure...
Here's a response to Kevin(javaman) tonight via pm. It's from my phone so hopefully it isn't to bad with Grammer/spelling but I was in a hurry.........

My main cleaning unit is to exhaust all dirty air, period. I also have the rabitt air A2 at my poker table and a Csonka ozinator. (129.00)
Some days I think nothing will get the room 100percent clean. The exhuast fan definitely does the best job. Problem with the rabitt air is its quite until it senses dirty cigar smoke and then revs up in auto mode. You can turn this on manual but then you're not getting its full cleaning capabilities!?!? But the rabitt air is still quieter than most heppa units on the market. Even on high.
The csonka works good at removing smells from the room but its a p o s. After less than a yr I had problems with the fan in mine. It's trying to stop working as I type. I did some research and found out that the ozone it's producing may actually be eating away at its fan and the electrical connection for its cord. So for 129.00 you'll have to way your option there but I may be able to replace the small pc fan inside it. Looked at it last night. Well c in the near future.
I know it's a little mish mashed of a answer. I'm on my phone. And I'm going to put up a child safety gate for my son. But I wanted to give you a answer. There's one product I'd look at if I were u. Let me send ya a link after this Pm.
Regards,
Justin
This is the unit that Gale Bballbaby bought a year ago. I'd like to hear his response after using it for a year now. If someone can get ahold of him! Post it here.

random question for you. Does the ozinator ever give off a metallic smell? A buddy of mine had a unit (may be different from what you have though) and it would leave this weird metallic smell and almost taste in the room
