Yep. HP is the only one that pulls this crap with the ink??

I don't know. My Lexmark printer ink is awful pricey too.

I think it is over 400 bucks to replace all the ink in the color laser printer under my desk at work.

It used to seam as though the cheaper your printer, the more the ink cost with the old HPs that I had.

After my initial go-round with HP, my last three inkjets have been Epson, Canon and Canon. The Epson was OK, but I like the Canon much better. Inkjet replacements run about $5 each (black) and $10 (color) vs. 3x that much for HP. The speed and quality is very good and I find they last about 2 yrs. Pretty good for a $50 printer.
