  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Tiger Woods 'indefinite break' from golf.

This guy has fallen so far down the rabbit hole than anybody I've seen in a long time. If he doesn't get past this fiasco golf will never be the same. So many people put so much stock into him as a golfer and business person that they didnt really consider him as a person. I have to think that had his Father been alive we wouldn't be seeing this. He depended on his Father to keep him grounded and with all of the fame, money and thinking he was bullet proof this is what happens when you don't have experience and wisdom on your side. How many of us would probably go down that same road if you were making a billion dollars and had anything you ever wanted? Something to think about.

Phil Knight will stick with him, just like he has with Jordan, Wie and a host of others. That is where the big money is. I thinks sponsors will fall right in line if he comes back and starts winning with his usual regularity. Never under-estimate the power of the dollar. . .As a golf fan I followed Tiger for his playing ability, but I must confess some (at lot, maybe) disappointment in his personal life choices. I will still watch him when he plays.

Well said. These are my feelings exactly.

This is perfect for him. He will go on Oprah, saying that he has a sexual addiction, he will become the victim in all this. Everyone will gather round to comfort him, sponsors will flock to his feet and he'll go along making millions more.

I'm disappointed in Tiger, too. I mean really though, how come ALL the women were white?!? WTF Tiger, U cant show a sista some love? Or maybe an asian chick? Are you just ashamed of your heritage or something?

And seriously....only a dozen ho's? Come on son--a real plair could bag that many in a week, hell even a weekend.

You shame yourself with that weakass game. You caint even sniff Wilt's jock.

:hysterica

Someone did a Net hit piece this week where Al Sharpton lit into Tiger for all the white women. It was hysterical. I cannot remember where I saw it though. . .Do not think it was the Onion. . .

The reality is that once he starts winning all will be forgiven.
Exactly... does anyone remember or bring up Kobe's little rendezvous in Colorado anymore? I pretty much forgot about it until a sportscaster said Tiger will be okay just like Kobe is...

Besides infidelity Woods and Bryants situations are very different. Kobe was charged with rape. It's sad to see all this burden Woods has to bear. Yes he put it on himself but seriously, dude just lets his hormones get the best of him. He hasn't raped or killed any one. This is nothing new to society and everybody jokes about it but the chance of a long lasting marriage is not in anyones favor and infidelity has alot to do with it. This layoff from golf is going to hurt golf more than anything. This guy single handedly put that sport on the map. If and when he comes back he'll do just fine and the golfing world will be there to bow down.

i believe jordan went through th esame thing. so there's no doubt he's giving tiger some advice.

tiger will keep low for a while, wait for the dust to settle, and then go back out on the course and start winning again, and as was said, once he starts winnin, all will be forgiven.

this will blow over eventually, but for now, it's a 3 ring circus.

only because this is the first, the VERY FIRST, piece of dirt they've ever had on tiger. and it's more like a mud pie, than dirt.
