I have a question regarding timing out.

Up unitl yesterday, I was able to access my site at work. Then all of the sudden I can't access from this connection at all. I get a "timing out" error. I can get on everywhere but here.

Any ideas on what to look for and where?

Thanks!
~Mark

I don't see my IP listed in the firewall for block IPs (It's a Watchguard Firebox)

Get a command prompt up and try this command: tracert www.cigarmony.com See if the traffic gets to the site and if not where it stops.
I just got in and ran the trace route:

At hop:

#1-#19 fine

#20 36ms 42ms 29ms o.g13-4.esd2.mmu.nac.net [209.123.11.246]

#21 * * * Request Time Out

Now what? :nodlaugh:

Thanks again bro!

Ok, my host says that "NAC" is a data center so that's where it's supposed to stop.

So I assume that it has to be on my end somewhere...

My host now tells me that it was a DNS issue and has been resolved.

It's lightning fast now.

At least I learned something new! Thanks guys!

Run a tracert to www.cigarmony.com then ping 113.44.433.22 then go do ipconfig /all then do a 'format c:'

then go over to the tech guy, take the dougnut out of his hands and tell him "hey, I'm more concerned with my www.cigarmony.com business than here" and that he should fix the problem.

If its a DNS issue it might be that its pointing to the wrong address or something, so its trying to reach the wrong server.

DNS is the stuff that takes a domain (cigarmony.com) and converts it into an IP (cigarmony should be 209.123.145.210)

If you ping cigarmony.com with the windows command prompt it tells you the IP, so if its not what I get then there you have it.

Oh and you might be able to put 209.123.145.210 into a web browser at work and still get the site if you cant get it from cigarmony.com
