  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Pop the cork, decant and then poured a glass with dinner (grilled salmon over pasta with a light tomato cream sauce + sugar snap peas). This wine has a pretty dark ruby color. The aromas of of ripe strawberries, cranberries and brown sugar. Smooth red fruit flavors that really expand and coat your palate. Good sweetness at first that melds into a nice tart finish. Excellent balance overall and really went well with the food.

This wine won double gold at the Calif State Fair. It's 80% pinot noir and 20% syrah with 13.8% ABV. Widely available (110,000 cases produced). I found at my local Safeway grocery for $8.99! I can hardly wait to try the next vintage as 2007 is looking to be fantastic for Calif pinots.

WOW, I'm really not a wine guy except for a few ports that I've grown to like, but damn, after reading this, I gotta get a bottle of that! Tedski, I'm hungry, can you review a nice cheeseburger for me too?!
