Carabino
2 oz white rum
3 oz coconut water
1/4 oz lime juice
1 t 2:1 simple syrup

The 1st drink was made with pressed coconut water, big disappointment the pressed coconut water was very dense and hid the other ingredients.

The second drink was made with Vita Coco coconut water. Light and refreshing with hints of lime great heat of summer cocktail

Luxardo Cherries

$24 at Total Wine for 14.1 oz

So
1/2 c white sugar
1 T natural vanilla
1 cinnamon stick & pinch of nutmeg
2 T lemon juice
1/2 c water
1 lb frozen pitted cherries
1 c Luxardo Liqueur

boil all except cherries and liqueur 2-3 min reduce heat add cherries simmer 5 min untill thickens remove from heat add liqueur let cool store in fridge makes 1 quart

This batch has been in the fridge for a couple of months and keeps getting better and better, hope i can make it an infininty bottle. The juice is a great alternative to Maraschino juice and Luxardo when making cocktails

@Boudie - this thread keeps getting better and better. I have seen the Luxardos at Total Wine and contemplated it so many times before repeatedly deciding "eh...that's the price of a case of beer...pass!". This is awesome.

1/3 bottle of Luxardo $10
1/2 bag of frozen cherries about $ 2
Everything else maybe $ 2

$14 for over 2xs as much plus you can make it as you wish and just add cherries as needed

The cherries are not quite as firm as the store bought but definitely not "mushy"

Hint: I understand that you can substitute 1/2 c Bourbon for the Luxardo. Never done it but may be worth a try.

@Texican now that you own a bottle you will find lots of ways to use it. I think I posted earlier about a peanut butter and jelly If you still have some of the peanut whiskey around give it a try.

@icehog3 It's wrong to judge a team on their 1st game under a new coach and system but I'm really dissapointed in how ill prepared the offensive line was and how pourly we covered the short passing game.
