Pasta Fra Diablo

Penne pasta covered with a thin, smokey, spicy alfredo sauce tossed with andouille sausage and shrimp and sprinkled with freshly grated parmesan cheese.

A picture does it no justice.

Sausage and shrimp really do go well together, and the spicier the better.

Thanks for the inspiration Gale, I think I'll try to do something like this this weekend.

What do you spice your Alfredo sauce with? I can never seem to get it right.
(Is there a low-fat version?)

Yeah, who wouldve known?!?! BBQ is just what i really like, but the wife won't let me cook it every night.

You should open a little bistro!! hehe
It's definitely in the works now! Hence the pictures of menu items.

Low fat alfredo? What fun would that be?!?! Heavy cream all the way.
As for spice, use dry spices. This dish as a blend of coarse salt, black pepper, paprika, chipotle, cayenne, rosemary, thyme, garlic.

Or if you're brave, there's a hot sauce called "Black Widow". Hottest stuff on the planet. One drop in alfredo and it's hot. 4 drops in an entire pot of lobster bisque makes it spicy. amazing stuff. but the spices as listed above at total flavor.
