I smoked this one today prior to starting my double shift. Robusto 5 x 50
Pre light inspection revealed a well amde cigar with small veins, dark brown oily wrapper and a woody scented cigar. Crown cut very nice. Perfect pre light draw with a little resistance.
After toasting it, the cigar lit very nicely and burned very evenly. Hints of creaminess, wood and coffee exuded from this cigar. Slight spice in this cigar. Cedar continued to waft from this cigar, as did great blue grey smoke. First half of cigar burned very well and was enjoyable. This continued throughout the entire cigar, including the nug, which I was forced to use a small blade of my knife to get every last bit of the cigar. No problems with the burn or the wrapper, but the draw become a little restricted towards the end. This was not enough of a restriction to not enjoy the cigar, but was noticiable. Good white and grey ash with some peppering.
I enjoyed this cigar very much, as I have not had a lot of the Torano lines of cigars. I now that I was missing something and look forward smoking one of these again. A good full flavored, medium bodied cigar. I figured that the wrapper was so dark that this one was going to knock me onto my tail, but it impressed me with flavor. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate this a solid 8+. It was not "the cigar of the year", but was excellent. With some age on this cigar, it will definitely get smoother. I plan on buying a few to experiment with.
Hope this review helps.
