Overkill. What kind of built in humidifier is in there? If it's the foam deal I would probably use the gel tube instead. Preferably, I'd ditch both and go with HF beads. You can empty out that gel tube if it's the right size and fill it with HF Beads. Same form factor, much better humidification media (it controls both ways instead of just one-the gel only outputs moisture, it doesn't take it in if the RH is high). The other question is, how long are you keeping your smokes in the travel humidor? If you are just talking about throwing some sticks in to take to the local B&M or whatever, I wouldn't even worry about humidification. So long as your sticks are well kept in your humidor and well acclimated to the RH within said humidor, these travel humidors typically have great seals and you shouldn't see any issues with them keeping for short periods. Really, if you've got the travel'dor packed full with well acclimated sticks and the seal is rock solid, they should go just about indefinitely without humidification needed. They might dry out just the slightest bit as some moisture will evaporate so that the environment within the travel humidor is in equilibrium, but so long as we are talking a packed 'dor, it won't be much.
Hope that long winded explanation helps.
