I've read about the original Trinidad's made by Fuente,
but I've got a hold of some Trinidad TTT Churchill's with
a band I've not seen before. I'll post the picture forthwith
(at work now)

The label clearly has a raised TTT logo in dark brown/gold
in an elongated circle with the word 'Trinidad' below it. There
are little gold TTT logos on the rest of the label and the
words 'Habana' and 'Cuba' on either end of the label. The bulk
of the foreground is a nice yellow with the label's background
in gold.

It is NOT the Trinidad y Hermano (red) label and it is
NOT the gold label with the black lettering.

They look nothing like the Trinidad labels I've seen on
the Miami-based sticks.

It's a 6 7/8" 48 ring Churchill that really smokes nicely,
but I don't know if they are TTT Habanos; where the
Fuente made units ISOM's?

Where there actually Trinidad TTT ISOM's?

Thanks,

Chris
(will post picture shortly)

there are new bands on the Trinidads which have the triple T but Trinidad does not make a Cuban churchill. Trinis come in the following sizes: Reyes( TPC with pigtail) Coloniales (slightly larger ring guage than corona but corona size with pig tail), Robusto extra (long robusto with pigtail), fundadores (especial size with Pigtail) and from the Farmhouse humidor a double Robusto A (50 ring guage x 7 1/2" with pigtail). The bands have the TTT with Trinidad underneath the TTT. On the left side it says Habana and on the right it says Cuba. The band is yellow and there are tan colored TTTs through out both sides where Habana and Cuba are located. No Churchills.

Thanks mcgoospot.

They don't have pigtails, either.

Here are the pictures I promised. I stopped by and snapped these this evening. Yesterday we peeled of most of the plastic protective wrapping and opened it. The Cigars inside are grouped together by a yellow silky ribbon which had NO marking on it.

Here's the band:

Here's the cigar:

Here's the "drummerdor":

Here's the stamp:

Here's the hologram:

Under the plastic wrapping securing the "drummerdor" one can just make out the "Hecho en Cuba" impression in the leather/wood:

...and finally, here's the cool little hygrometer and humidity plug inside the lid:

THere was also the habanos sticker across the lid/body of the drummerdor, but I forgot to snap a picture.

Tastes great... bummer

I would never say that they're 100% fake. 99% maybe but you never know what's being done in Cuba. I've seen the leather drummerdors for sle at various places in Canada which sell fake Cubans from Tampa and Miami. I don't believe Habanos SA has ever produced a leather drummerdor like the one you have. I know Habanos SA has never officially produced a Trinidad without a pigtail. I've seen, however, a number of special products produced for commercial vendors which are real Cuban cigars but which are not official Habanos SA products. I have a few of these: Upmann #2s and Monarchs in Slide Lid Box, Partagas salomonmes in dress box, Partagas Millenium 2000 Salomones, Vegas Robanis Jubaleum 15th anniv. super robustos and the like. Someone may look at the presentation and say "fake" because they're not listed by Habanos SA as an official cigar yet they are as real as the rest of them-just special production. Could your drummerdor be one of these special production vitolas? Yes, it's possible. Probable? No.

I've seen this packaging recently in a 'NOTORIOUS' cigar shop in Niagara Falls- when the owner/manager was asked the particulars about this "unique" Trinidad CHURCHILL --- he said all he does is sell the stuff - not make a life study about it ....... It was good for a chuckle. :smt096
