it's finally fuckin' here. booked my room at the wyndham dallas market center. if you are looking, downtown hotels are completely full (magnolia, the adolphus, the mansion, the crescent) shit even the la quinta on knox-henderson is booked.

I got an internet rate and there's a handful of rooms available if anyone is looking.

I'm going to try to leave around 3pm to beat traffic to the woodlands/conroe area.

Leave before then. For whatever reason, that part from Woodlands Parkway to past Conroe still backs up badly. If you are on the road by 2:00, you'll hit all of that around 3:00 when it usually starts to back up. Leaving near downtown at 3:00 will make it just that much more miserable.

it always clogs up where hardy meets up 45. one year (2001) I made the mistake of leaving at 5pm and I got to dallas at 11:30pm. I'd love to leave sooner, but that would be nearly impossible for me.
