  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Blind review

Preface: James and I did a trade a little while back and both of us sent an unbanded stick and agreed to do a blind review. Here goes...

Initially the Cold draw and just the odor of the cigar... I thought this has to be tatuaje brown label. I've been told I am incorrect on this so I will save myself the embarrassment of guessing further

As I light it it gives me a tatuaje/Garcia smooth spice and richness.
First third: spicy and creamy semi-sweet. Ash holding to an inch solid the dropping off shortly thereafter. Notes of espresso, heavy cream, + white and red pepper on the retrohale.

Second third: spice/ pepper dips to a dull roar but the sweetness picks up a bit with a slight bitter on the finish almost like the aftertaste of roasted almond and dark chocolate combined.

Side note: I feel like I've smoked this blend before and it's driving me nuts!

Final third: flavors from the second third carried into the finish with a slight mellowing at first, then a short burst of strength at the end. Overall a very good stick. Even burn and well constructed. I have to say Nicaraguan for sure. I feel it had a beginning akin to Garcia tobacco and a middle/end that brought aj Fernandez to mind. Thanks brother @MISCHMAN!

Nice review! What do you think he sent you?
Well I think I have it narrowed down but I'm not sure... I still think it's out of the Garcia factory but then Maybe an EP Carrillo or Man O War side project?
I don't know man... It was a wonderful stick and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on more! Lol
