A lot of couches hurt the game by continuing to couch. This must have the opposed reaction, the profession will be hurt by his stepping down.

I had the chance to see his coaching in action on a lot of occasions and he always gave his all and had his team give there all. A great coach.

It is not a sin to change your mind, and I understand his need to take a sabbatical. The stress he has been under can only be unimaginably hard. I’m glad the profession hasn’t lost such a good man.

I will not talk ill of Nick Sabon for his famous statement when he was couching the Dolphins. Can you remember “I will not be the next couch at Alabama?” The Alabama faithful looked past this, why can’t Urban Meyer be given a pass for making a hasty statement?

And no I am not a Florida fan; I am now and will always be a faithful “Longhorn”.

I am glad Urban is staying as I am a gator fan I have a lot of respect of Urban. It is just odd that 24 hours later he has changed his mind. Seems like someone jumped the gun with the announcement.
I agree the stress that comes with these "big" school coaching jobs, were you are expected to win has to be huge. I am sure it is one of the most stressful jobs out there and I respect all of them for that.
