  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This was an unbelievable U.S. Open and a superb finish to cap off a memorable one. Tiger is a cut above the rest in every way, shape and form. This one could have really gone either way, but it's Tiger's greatness that prevails once again. I've read and heard that it's not that Tiger hits unbelievable rounds, it's just that he stays consistent longer than anyone else, and this U.S. Open shows that. When his drive was not there (due to the knee) he stayed true all the way till the end. Awesome major!!! Congrats Tiger.

That's exactly what it is. Same way I play ping pong, no need to win it with one shot, just stay clean and let the other guy score points for you. Tiger, just plays and plays, with very few mistakes.

Today was honestly awesome as hell. We all watched on the Internet until the servers just couldn't handle the load, and then realized we had a big screen TV in the break room upstairs, so we watched the rest of it up there.

Fantastic golf today!

Simply the best Major I've ever had the priveledge to watch. Saturday and Sunday were simply AWESOME. I got to see most of today's round, but only in spurts (had to minimize the screen now and then so as not to draw too much attention. I felt for Rocco, I think it would have been great for him to win as well, but really, the STORY for Tiger in this tournament, fighting off the pain of the knee, gritting it out, was just too good. My only gripe with Tiger being the player he is, is wondering if we'll live to see the next great player after him. He has a way of eclipsing the sport. But damn if I don't enjoy watching him play the game.

I love it how it takes a bum knee to even the playing field. Tiger was just feeling sorry for everyone else

WOW he does it with a healing meniscus.. I think after Maradona (greatest footballer ever), Tiger is the closest thing that comes to greatness I have had the pleasure of watching in my life time.

Eh, not sure he did it with a healing meniscus to be honest. I think he did it with a REINJURED meniscus. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out that he reinjured himself on this. Some of the articles I've been reading state that he played this tourney against his Doctor's orders/wishes. Don't be surprised if you don't see Tiger until much later in the season this year than normal.

Dude, I played Torrey a few years back, it was the year the Packers played in San Diego (the Pack won). I played the South Course and it was amazing. Not just the course, but the scenery, cliffs, landscape was just breathtaking. I'm envious of you guys that get to see that beauty every day.

I live in WI! :barf:
