  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Smoked a Famoso last night and decided I need to try more Robaina's. I have narrowed it down to the Clasico or the Familiar. I'm leaning toward the Classico because of the extra inch but was wondering if anybody thinks one is smoking better that the other ROTT.

Thanks!

Go for the Unico
Yup! The Familiar is fine and the Clasico excellent, but the Unico is truly wonderful. I have found that VR's in the smaller ring gauges suffer from plugging more than any other line. . .Read that as Familiar and Clasico. I would add that a well aged Clasico that is not plugged can be memorable smoke.

Where in Chestnut Hill are you? I can drop off a few Unicos if you want to try them out.

Well... Since you have my address, go ahead and send me the ones you don't smoke; Seeing as you bought something you don't really like... <G>

IMO the Familiar has much more flavor than either the Unico or Famoso. It is to VR, what the Corona Extra is to Bolivar.
