I couldn't agree with you more deffinatly one of the best Cuban cigars out there if you get a box that "is on" That bieng said ,I smoked a 01 Monte #2 that had to be one of the worst Cuban cigars I've ever tried.

The 2004s are smoking great. I have yet to have an 06 yet. But I hear they are smoking great as well.

I have never really gotten into Monte's and I'm not sure why. I have only smoked a couple and have some collecting from PIF's and bombs. I'll have to bust one out soon. I do have one with some serious age now. I'm just waiting for the right event. I might be a Monte whore before it's all finished.
