As posted by Halfwheel, Viaje has released a new a cigar called the Roman Candle along with its Summerfest, TNT, and C-4 blends:

I was able get one of these at my B&M yesterday and decided to post a review.
Size: 9 x 50
Wrapper Color: Maduro
Wrapper: Corojo 99 Jalapa
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Price: ≈ $14.00
packaging
The packaging is similar to the TNT and C-4 boxing but in a smaller form with each cigar wrapped in a reddish tissue paper.
prelight and uncut images
1st third flavor and description
I may have fallen prey to a psychological suggestion with the packaging – I thought I initially tasted a light chili pepper heat flavor with a nice mingling of spicy sweetness. But by the time I tried to take the time to characterize the taste profile, the heat dissipated leaving more of a pungent cocoa flavor profile at about an inch into the stick. It is a great start. I’m really enjoying the aroma that reminds me when I barbeque with cheery wood chunks.
2nd third flavor and description
The spice really coats the roof of your mouth, but is nothing that is over powering. I had to perform a minor touch-up of the cigar at this point. The pungent nature of the taste profile could probably be described as allspice, somewhat of a mix of cinnamon and nutmeg. Cocoa flavor is definitely present and the flavor profile really hasn’t changed much since after the first inch. The aroma now mirrors more of the actual flavor profile, unlike the first third. I have to admit, I’m enjoying the smoke so far. Shame on me. I’m getting some coning: I need to slow down!
final third flavor and description
The sweetness replaced the pungent aspects of the flavor profile leaving mostly cocoa with some wood flavors. It isn’t nearly as spicy until the last inch.
overall
Due to the cigar name, I was expecting more of a full body cigar. Instead it is more of a medium-to-full. After 1.5 hours of an enjoyable smoke, I would say that I was happy with my purchase of a single. At the price point though, I’m on the fence whether I would buy a box. I will certainly light up another one. I also want to smoke the this year's TNT since this blend is apparently based off of it.
And apparently there is a BOTL member that has found another use for this cigar, cough cough SmokinBodyBuilder… LMAO.
EDIT: 6/30/12 - I actually smoked a second one but it took me like 2.5 hours to smoke. I'm not sure if I got the correct time with the first smoke that I did the review on. I would say the first quarter of the cigar is pretty good and interesting. After that, it's fairly one dimensional until the very, very end.
