  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Decided to get creative with this one... I'm gonna review the cigar as I smoke it and post at the same time.

So here. we. go.

The cigar is gorgeous. There is no ifs ands or buts about it. This thing is black as night with a gorgeous band and flawless construction.

After cutting the foot and the cap, the draw (which is perfect) reveals a sweet cocoa and almost molasses like aroma through the nose. I'm very excited about this cigar (despite Brooks' review  )

So the cigar begins as what I am going to call a Maduro RASS. If you know what a RASS tastes like... that magical blend of spice and dark fruit... this is like that but wrapped in a black as night oscuro wrapper.

The cigar isn't giving off too much smoke right now, but we are still only burning the little nub tip.

be back in a few...

Holy cream, batman! It's like if you took the sweet cream icecream from cold stone and mixed it wish some cocoa power. The smoke is very rich and is coating the palate nicely. A little bit more lingering spice now...

More woody flavors are starting to make themselves known at this point. Sweet cedar and almost a mahogany like smell are starting to show up through the retrohale.

If anything, the broad variety of opinions on this cigar has me very interested in it. Thanks for sharing.

GREAT review...and your appraisal is spot on, based upon my experience with this smoke. I also highly recommend getting some of these.
+1 with both of you guys.

I know the reviews have been up and down along with the staining of hands and how organically produced this cigar is, or is not.

My experience was similar to Ryan and Tom's. The flavors really started to build the longer I got into it. This cigar pays you back ten fold when you take your time. While I am a relatively new smoker, this is the first cigar where I picked up distinct flavors of cocoa and dark coffee, especially at the end. I did not want this smoke to end.

My ash dropped exactly twice! Excellent burn and construction.

Finally, is this stick not a thing of beauty?
