Hey all, I am in need of advice. I will be gone for a week and wanted to set up something so I could send my kids some video messages.
Looking for advice on services to us, I have s built in webcam on my laptop already.

Skype with your kids. We do it when we go on vacation.

Yup, Skype will be good. Or if you have a Mac/iOS device - FaceTime.

But is skype only "Live chat"? I do have a new skype account but dont see the option to leave s message.

Oh... you want to leave a message.. not just video chat live?

You may have to record your video message and then send them a link to the file to download it or attach it in an email (depending on file size).

I should have been more specific, I will be on the west coast for a week so I could leave VM due to time difference.
