  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I have purchased several vintage ST Dupont ligne 1 lighters from eBay that I use on a regular basis. Be sure to get the newer of the ligne1's for reliability and you can pick one up for under a hunnert bucks if you are patient. There are many counterfeit ligne 2's out there that can be had for $25 on eBay. Do your studying to be able to identify the counterfeits from the real McCoys.

If you're interested, I recently found a Bic lighter from the mid 80's under the seat of a 1984 Ford Tempo. This thing doesn't even have child safety features on it, so you know its good. I'd be willing to sell it to you for 50 bucks, cuz I'm a great guy willing to give you the deal of a lifetime! It still has half the lighter fluid in it and its that really cool see thru blue color. You cant just go into any convenience store and find them like this anymore. Also, because it was beneath the seat, it is in excellent condition and the sun hasn't faded it one bit. If you say yes in the next 10 seconds I'll throw in the 2 loosies that I found under the seat with it.

On a more serious note, good luck with your search and I do like that Dunhill lighter you found.

That seems awfully cheap for a Dunhill. When I was looking, I couldn't find anything legit for under $100. (vintage I mean)
