VSG Round??

So I picked up this VSG and noticed it had absolutely no box press. I did some reading and found the first 50,000 weren't pressed because they were overfilled. I'm guessing I didn't score one of these few and mines just some sort of commemorative cigar. Anyway heres a few pics. If this is one of the rounds I'll probably just keep it as a novelty.

The original release VSG's were round. I've smoked a few after all these years. Not impressed and they've definitely lost their edge.

Those are definately not VSG "rounds". The OR VSG's came with the old band. Notice in the picture of my VSG Belicoso round the word Cabinet in the middle of the band. The new bands dropped the Cabinet and enlarged the VSG as in your picture. I have come across VSG's in B&M's that don't have much box press to them also, but they are not the originals. So, one word of note...I always keep an eye out in B&M's for the old type bands. It doesn't mean you've always got an OR, but it does mean you've got one with at least some age on it.

Find OR VSG's in a B&M? Man, I'd love to see the stash that B&M has....Oh wait I have, HOLT's!

I smoked the OR's with a bud a while back...he was given his cabs directly from Fuente and Levin when the VSG's first came out. While I felt honored to share the cigar,it was simply missing that ooomph. I think if I had to smoke these, I'd prefer them young.
