  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm going away for 10 days on a fishing trip in Canada . I alwas put my cigars in a Tupperware container. In the past I've used water pillows . I don't have anymore. Do I really need to have humidification in a Tupperware container for 10 days with about 30 cigars?
Thanks

Check the humidity levels where you are going fishing. If you're close (60 - 80?) don't worry about it. I'd make packs of maybe 5 cigars with ziplocks so you're not exposing all your cigars to ambient humidity every time you open the tupperdor.

Boudie nailed it.
ambient % should hold fine,it's the temp you will need to watch.
Smaller packs will reduce the contact with air, should be good to go .............

Never liked water pillows. Most shipments come with a boveda pack. Keep those in a Tupperware container with a damp sponge or beads and you will always have one on hand when you travel. I must have a couple dozen that are still as good as the day they arrived.
I never assume the temp and local humidity will be cigar friendly. Lost a lot of good sticks that way in my younger days
