  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

but we all felt as though we won. We were playing in the first round of the local tournament (coach pitch under 8), I was the 1st base coach. At the start of the 5th ining, the 1st baseman for the other team asks me what the score was and I told him that I didn't know but they were ahead. He replied " Oh, that's right you guys have zero." I had a discussion with the kid and he told me they only lost once all season. I told him "The next time you loose you will cry just like you did the first time". I am arguing with a 7 year old :innocent:. Everytime we played this team, this kid has hit either a home run or triple at every at bat, he reminded me of that.
He came up to bat in the 5th inning with 2 on, he has 2 strikes. Everyone in our dugout is talking about how we want this little shit to strike out...well he doesn't. He hits a line drive to left center with the ball bouncing about 15 feet in front of my son. My son hasn't stopped a ball all season. Well he stopped this one!!!!!!! Threw the ball into the shortstop, who actually caught it and threw it home. Our catcher caught the ball and was in position to tag the little shit out and did one step before he got to the plate. Everyone went wild- parents and kids- you would have thought we just won a national championship. The little shit went to his dugout pushed one of his own teammates to the ground, threw his helmet and bat in the dugout- with 10 other kids in the dugout. His Dad, the pitcher, went to the dug out to talk to his son. He did. Once the inning was over, the little shit was back on first.

This is what is wrong with parent's and sports these days. The kid is a little shit, because his parent's allow him to be a shit.

We finished the game with our kids celebrating like they had won. They were just as excited about the out at home as the coaches were. This was the first time this happened with any runner all year and it was sweet to the kids also, as this kid talked smack to every kid on our team that made it to first base. We handed out trophies and had a cook out and sent the kids away for the season. Hopefully they will all be back next year. The season was a success:clap:
