What am I Missing

So I was out looking for a couple of pipes to add to the collection. I seen a pipe called a Aerosphere so I thought I would look them up and yes there seem to be some there, Not to spendy. One or 2 that catch my eye but not calling out to me. I keep looking and I find something with a Picture of Cleaning supplies. They want 999.?? Must have a HTF pipe they are tossing in not pictured in the listing picture LOL. I look and I see it says there have already been 2 buys. They have more..... I am like WTH.... Scrolling down to the bottom of the listing I found the same looking thing with added things in the picture. I look thinking there is going to be a special pipe or something that makes it worth almost 1k. :bigeyes:

What am I missing? If this pipes require special things to clean them. Then there is no person making these products anymore that would make people pay crazy prices for what is out there:hammersma Well the good news is that I don't like the pipes that much to jump on a pipe that will cost me more then I have ever paid for a pipe to clean it.

What's even curiouser is that there isn't anything special listed in the cleaning supplies. I can purchase most everything there from my local tobacconist. The only thing I can't is the t-pin, which I can pick up at any office supply shop. Total price for all of that is probably $9.99. Decimal point is probably off.

Funny thing is that it is showing 2 sold on one, and 6 sold on the second one LOL that is just crazy funny... And the fees that would have to be paid for that price would be crazy for only a 9.99 listing to fake buyers... Crazy days on the Bay

Look at all his listings. He puts a lot of stuff up at reasonable prices, then the odd item for $999.99. I don't understand why. Maybe he's gaming statistics somehow?

My guess, cuz I've bought from this seller before, is that she is out of somethings. Instead of deleting the listing and paying for another, she just changed the price to something no one in their right mind would pay. The already solds are probably from when they were regular price.

Just my guess.

Well that very well may be the way it is. I will say that if that is what they are doing it could be working against them? Not everyone would say or care but if they see something like that, It don't say out of stock at this time like I have seen other people that sale mass items when they are out..... For me when I see something like that and I feel that it is crazy out of this world prices I won't even look at other items they are selling.....

OR…

Maybe that person is selling CCs or other HFT tobacco products to people in the know and they make these proxy auctions. I've seen it done before.
