  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

What do you think of this humi??

It's a nice looking humidor, but consider what you're getting the humidor for.

Is it to hold your cigars in your office, den or somewhere that you want to show the humidor off?

Is it to just maintain the largest amount of cigars you can and stay in budget? If so, seriously consider an Igloo cooler.

I've been debating consolidating everything into an igloo. However this humi will be for my "nicer" smokes. And i've heard it is wise to keep them serperate from the others.

No problem wanting a nicer humidor for certain sticks, but rest assured, keeping your Opus along with your Consuegra wont hurt or help either! Hell, you really won't have issues even with domestics vs. Cubans, other than most feel that Cubans smoke better at lower RH.

Looks like the Classico from Cuban Crafters. But the CC one has a rectangular humidifier. I have 2 of those, but I ditched the foam and put in beads instead.

Price is same, I would go for the CC. Bigger humidifier.

I do keep my loose CC's in my wood Hummi but it is still in the basement, my wife hates the sight of it. I have 2 Coolidors now full with boxes, and I have 2 boxes that I keep better somkes together. I would like to bring my old hummi back to the 1st floor to show it off some.

Upgrade to a digital Hygrometer, and use the beads instead for the foam. Also, take your time seasoning it. I was so excited when I got my 1st humi I almost killed my smokes by putting them in too soon.
