  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

When it rains, usually it pours!

I posted on another board and to anybody else who will listen, that when it comes to cutters, you get what you pay for. I go to my B&M today and a good friend passes me what is in the first two pics. I got home after smoking with some friends and someone sent an accessory kit that came in the mail. Sheesh! :ccool:

BOTL, mam!

The pics suck but that LP cutter looks so regal and masculine. It's totally cool.
I saw them on the drew estate store.. Might have to pick one up myself. Does it have a good weight to it? I prefer a cutter with a little weight to it.

Craig, they most definately have good weight to them, I have several like that from different cigar manufacturers.

Greekone, what's the little cannister next to the cutter in pic's 4 and 5?

I agree with Larry, the LP cutter is HEAVY and beautifully made. I have used my friend's before and he knew how much I liked it. He won one and passed it on to me. Plus, it has a back end, so you can cut multiple times and decrease your margin of error, which for a newbie like me, is critical. :timebomb:

Larry, that canister is a HUGE punch made especially for the Nub ring guage.

I mean, the thing is a napkin ring or perfect for an impromptu tracheotomy. :smokingbo

Btw, the cigar case is lined with cedar and is just snug enough that I would definitely feel comfortable carrying other smokes than just Nubs, which, for the money, I really like. You can usually get an 8-pack on auctions for $20-25 and sales happen all the time.

I have one of those #9 cutters from the Liga event at Burning Leaf. It's a very handy cutter to have! I try to keep mine in the truck, so if I'm out or driving, I have a cutter handy. It's really good for when you can't be seated at a nice table to take the time to perfectly line up your cut, etc.

With statements like "when it rains, usually it pours" and "you get what you pay for", I thought this thread was gonna be about something BAD! It looks to me like you got a pretty great set-up there. And for free, so I hope "you get what you pay for" isn't true here!
