You can line a tupperdor or better, coolidor, with Spanish cedar to get the same effect.

A lot of coolidor users keep cedar cigar boxes in there to accomplish it.

When I smoke all of the cigars in the box, I'll replace them with an unboxed bundle or a group of very similar cigars to maximize space.

Actually the cedar helps maintain the humidity level in the humidor by absorbing and holding moisture. It is also reported to be a natural insect repellent. You can accomplish much the same thing by putting the cigars in a spanish cedar box in the tupperdor. That basically how a coolidor works.
