  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

When the cigar is too good to let go, that last 1.5", I've been using a toothpick to nub it. But I'd like to get something more sturdy. I've just went through 5 pages of Google output with the search of "cigar nub tool" and have come up dry.

Does anyone know where I can buy one?

Get a Xikar multi tool, a corn on the cob holder (or whatever they are called) or a draw poker (guy here, boom, makes some pretty nice ones)

Head over to Introductions and tell us a bit about yourself!

I took a pipe cleaner, twisted it into a ring about the circumference of my fattest finger, then unwound about 2 inches of it, and burned off the fuzz, so only the exposed wire remained. I'll post a picture, so you can see what I'm talking about:

Works fine as a nubber, cost me 1.00 for a pack of pipe cleaners (so now I have these little doohickeys in all of my humidors, my herfador, and in my car, so I always have one to nub whatever I'm smoking), and about 2 minutes to make each one. :ccool:

Yup, I took a screw and put it through a wine cork. Costs basically nothing and works great.
NIce, I'm going to use the cork next time. I like the screw because the cigar does not spin as easily as it does with a toothpick, or round spike. The threads hold it steady.
