  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Where do you order fresh roasted beans from?

I don't do much fresh roasted beans. Yea I'm lazy...The only ones I've had so far are Killer Beanz and they're waaaay dark and strong. I wish he made a lighter roast and I'd drink them more often.

Luckily this one is a bit lighter on the pocketbook, until you get into espresso.
Then you're screwed. You end up spending nights trying to figure out the best grind, tamp pressure, and blend.
As for the women-folk:
One sip of home roasted coffee and the girlfriend said
"You can do whatever you want and spend whatever on cigars, if you keep supplying me with this coffee."
It's like a drug, and I've got her hooked. She gets pissed wen I go on business trips and forget to roast enough.

Sorry for the threadkjack, back to the topic:
http://www.coffeeemergency.com/ is also well regarded, especially for their espresso blends.

I placed my first order with Molokai Coffee company last week. A local fishwrap recommended them as a cheaper alternative to Kona, but the same Hawaiian characteristics. I've finished my first 1/2 lb and it was pretty good, but no way as tasty as 100% Kona peaberry.
