  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

So I was in SoCal last week and knew I would be smoking some cigars and we all know how our cars can stink afterwards even if we don't smoke in the car. On top of that I was in a rental and was worried about the "cleaning fee".
I ended up buying a small container of Whiff Out and poured about na ounce into a small container and left it on the floor in the back seat for the week. Smoked a couple days while I was there and I have to say... that rental car smelled better when I returned it that than when I picked it up.

I would recommend this stuff as it does a fantastic job of absorbing odors.

It works very well at it. just don't store the container anyplace near your cigars or pipe tobacco.

I had a closed jar of that stuff in my pipe cabinet, on a different shelf from my tobacco, and got a distinct soap taste from my pipes/tobacco until I moved it out.

Great prodcut.

Huh, never heard of "Whiff out". Next standard questions: where do you buy it? How much does it cost? Does it come as a spray, liquid or both? How long has it been around? Any other uses? Lastly, how does it work?

Whew! I just have a can of "ozium". A deodorizing spray that cleans smell on the molecular level. My cigar mentor recommended it to kill cigar smell on your clothes, after you come in from smoking outside and indoors. Has anybody used it or no?

I love the whiff out stuff. Use the crystals in my ashtray at work and at home, and the spray in the garage when I'm done smoking in there. Works great.

I only have the powered stuff that you sprinkle in ashtrays. I don't know what the regular price is, but I got mine from CBID for a buck many months ago. I sprinkle a little in my downstairs ashtray from time to time and seems to do a good job of keeping odors down.

I've seen them on Instagram and have been wondering if it works or not, I bought that Ozium can for my truck and it take about 3 or 4 days to get the smell out. I have been thinking about trying this next, guess I will now. Thanks

I'm going to have to buy some and see how it'll work in my Xikar ash can that's in my truck. After a while, I've come to the conclusion that the can is stinking worse than my truck interior.

Yup, this stuff works great. I've been smoking in my truck a lot lately and even with these hot days I still don't smell smoke. Great product.

I bought a small jar based on the recommendations in this thread. I poured a little bit into the bottom of my Xikar ash can (just enough to cover the bottom) and have been keeping it open in the cup holder 24/7. I use a cigar bobken ashtray that I hang in the on the door for my ashes so I usually put a little bit in the bottom of that as well before smoking and that gets dumped with my ashes.

I have "sworn by" Ozium for a number of years now and it works great but I would still get a slight odor of stale smoke coming out of the vents when I started the car. Since using the whiff-out I am not smelling that anymore and have been very pleased with the result. I would highly recommend this stuff to keep your car smelling "fresh".

I've used this in a couple different scenarios lately and thought Id share...
1 - Garbage can odor was bad, I mean bad. sprinkled a bit into it and gone.
2 - I was working on the motorcycle and the garage was smelling of fuel. Put some in a shallow dish and left it on my workbench. Garage smelled clean the next morning.
3 - I poured some in my ash can (where I dump my butts and ashes so I don't piss off the wife by making the house stink) and that can is no where near as offensive as usual when I open it up. Since its sealed with a lid the Whiff out seems to be lasting quit some time.

Same here, used it around the house and in the garage and it works in those areas as well. You only need a little bit for it to do it's job and that little jar has a lot in it.
