No. You need to have hardware in your laptop that states it is explicitly compatible with Wireless-N. If you have that hardware, it will most likely also be "backward compatible" and be able to pick up G & A (if that's what is sent).

If the router is sending N, you need hardware that can pick up N. Most routers that can do N, can also send G or A instead.

Good deal, I'll have to look further into it. My laptop is about 2 years old and I was worried about the compatibility.
