  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Well i started up a coolidor and bought some spanish cedar to use as shelves. order came in but there seems to be "sap" on the wood (see pics). I say sap cause a bit sticky. Question is can i stick it in the coolidor as is? If not what do i have to do in order to use it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

you can try to sand some of it off. as long as your cigars dont touch the sap, its really not too big of a deal

going to be box storage so shouldn't be an issue.

Sanding and alcohol.
Keep an eye on it in the future. Next time you buy, make sure it is kiln dried.

Guess now i know why the price was so good. So I just sand it then rub it down with a little alcohol?

If the sap stilll has any moisture, I thinkI would use the alcohol first to try and remove it, then after drying, sand for smooth finish... Could be wrong.
