Word Issues??

I have been using Microsoft Word for many years. As of last week, all my Word icons for saved files have turned into Wordpad icons. I have to right click and select "open with" in order to open in Word. If I just double click them, they open in Wordpad.

What did I do and how do I fix it??

did you check the little tick box that says "always use this program ....."?

under the choose program option

No clue what you did David, but I'd just like to say that I hate the new Microsoft Office suite.

things like this are the reason i use a typewriter and a file cabinet!!! And good ol fashioned hand written letters.
