  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Xikar customer service rocks!

So after owning a pair of Xikar Xi cutters for almost a decade, I sent them back to Xikar because they were starting to dull a bit. I filled out the customer form from them and shipped them off. I then went on vacation for a week and when I got home they were there waiting for me. A brand new pair in the box and everything. I am now a true Xikar customer for life. Cutters, lighters, cases. Xikar is the way to go!

I have the same thing here that I'm about to send it.
Any idea if I can trade a $100 lighter for 1 $30 and 1 $70 lighter?

This is good to know. I have a Xikar that I think is dulling a bit, it's about 8 years old. Right now it's my only cutter so I can't send it in yet. I want to get a Cuban Crafters perfect cutter and then I'll probably send out the Xikar. It sounds like Xikar really knows how to build a loyal customer base.

I do not know if they will do a trade like that one. BUT I do know they will let you do a swap for another product of the same value. I just sent back an EXII soft flame and traded it for a Trezo.

I would send an email to rsmith@xikar and ask her if they are able to do that.

Just confirmed that they trade even value. So I can do that trade!

Good customer service goes a long ways. I'm not a fan at all of Xikar lighters but I keep purchasing them because when (and we all know that no matter who makes them) they break, Xikar asks no questions and replaces them.

+1 to Xikar for their great customer service.

I for one will be a customer of theirs for life!

I sent back three lighters today. I requested they repair one of the as the finish has started to rub off and look really cool. Hope they don't just replace all three. I live close enough that I should have everything back by Monday. They are great with repair/replacements. I have sent back both lighters and cutters but I only use a Palio now as it has yet to break.

about 2 1/2 weeks ago I sent in a few digital hygrometers and a lighter I have issues with, they replaced everything and it arrived today, so another satisfied customer (hopefully the new ones will longer though :) ).

On a side note, they changed their digital hygrometers and you no longer calibrate them. Anyone have experience with the new ones yet, are the better or worse?
