  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Get the Blazer Little Buddy lighter. Huge reservoir that you can actually see. It last for a long time. And its only $40

I have the Xikar Enigma & it lasts me for a while. I do feel the fuel reservoir is kinda small, but whatever.

Just go for the best bang for the buck out there....Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter!

At $3.00 a piece, get a dozen of them, keep a few and bomb with the rest of them!

I have the xikar exodus soft flame lighter and the butane lasts for a long time. Not sure if the soft flame burns less butane than torch :dunno:

I have the element and while it may burn through fuel...you can't go wrong with a lifetime warranty. I don't care how much $$ you spend on lighters in general, for some reason they malfunction eventually. Make sure to register it on the web site (takes 2 seconds) and they will send your leather case for it. Also this validates the warranty.

Larry is right; the Ronson's light every time and at 3 bucks a pop you are less likely to be upset when it does quit.

I bought a box of 'em on Ebay last year and I am still on the first one!

well
Now after having this lighter for only a week,
its dead!

i purged and refilled it but now only lights up about 1 every 100 times
its sparks, and you can hear the fuel pushing out, but it does not "catch"
(even trying on different flame settings)
:cursing:

i ordered this online, so i emailed them to see if i can return for a replacement

its funny, out of all my lighters so far, the cheaper in cost they are the more reliable they have been for me!

i will never pay more then $5-10 for a lighter ever again

I also have a soft flame Xikar and it goes through much less fuel than my xikar torch. Im totally sold on the soft flame.

Take it in to any xikar retailer and they will replace it on the spot. I see you are from PA so here is a list hope one is close to you. http://xikar.com/retailers_city.asp?STATE=PA

I have been reading posts here and its so far been a really good experience so far. New here and this is my first posting, but I wanted to say that I happen to own this lighter and it happens to be one of the first products I've purchased from them and it has not seem like a fuel hog at all, I've owned it for about 2 months and the only thing I saw was that I over paid for it at my local cigar bar, I smoke about 2 cigars a week and I've filled it every 2 weeks or so. Just my .02. I owned zippos and a colibris and the colibris have been nothing but a dissapointment. The factory was closed down and then realms to someone else which is trying to clean up its past. We'll see what happens but bottom line comes down to it I'm. Very happy with my X Element that I bought their pelican case humidor to put on my Harley for when I go cruising with my fellow smokers.

Actually just bought one of these today as my cheaper Xikar is lost, think it fell out of my pocket at the bar.

I love this thing, doesnt seem to go through too much fuel IMO but I havent had much experience with higher end lighters. I enjoy it has a cigar punch on the bottom which will come in handy as im sure theyll be days I am in a rush and grab a cigar and my lighter and forget my cutter.

The web site says $55 bucks but got it for $45 at my local B&M so seems like a good deal.

Only complaint is how far into the adjuster wheel the valve is. Dont know that I own a tool small enough to get down in there to bleed it everytime I need to refill it, oh well, ill find something

Element has a notoriously small tank... I'd recommend swapping it for an Enigma/Axia if you dig the double flame.. If not, the NXT (or Nautilus depending on location) is my favorite of the Xikar lighters - Single jet, very strong, recessed flame so it is more wind resistant, decent sized tank, fuel window. It's a great lighter
