  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This is a solid, all metal lighter with a spring action top cover to protect the burner and button. It’s actuated by a single thumb button that ignites a wind resistant natural flame, approximately 1″ high. It has quite a heft and feels rugged in the hand, being the prefect size for my larger hands and fingers. With a large bottom thumbscrew for burner adjustment, it gives a total burn time of just under 7 minutes.

I bought one of these before, sent it back. Not very 'wind resistant'. I so wanted it to work out. We just had to part ways and I went back to a torch.

I have the Havana version of this, and I like it very much. It is a bit less wind resistant than a torch, but a great lighter.

I have the carbon fiber one. The soft flame makes you look super sophisticated when your lighting your cigar lol. Its a good lighter for indoors but it wouldnt be my first choice for lighting a cigar outside or really large ring gauge cigar. Once you buy the lighter you should turn it up "internally." Get a small screw driver that fits the screw on the little wheel. Once you loosen the screw the wheel will spin freely allowing you to turn you lighter waaaay up. Once you get it to a happy flame height tighen the screw and you have reset the flame range on your lighter

What burn time do you get with your happy flame? Seems 7 minutes isn't all that good and would require frequent refills probably would be empty midway through a herf.

I just got mine today and the burn time is more than sufficient. I smoked 3 tonight with few touch ups here and there and few bros borrowed mine to light up. 7pm to 11pm of heavy smoking and still going.
