  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I’m thinking of getting one of these. I have a Palio and other cutters but I like the way these fold up so small and attach to your keychain. Seriouscigars.com has them for $25.40 + $5 shipping.
Any comments or info on them would be appreciated. Also, has anyone ever dealt with serious cigars?
I just noticed that Heartfelt has them also and cheaper with lower shipping cost.
Thanks,
Rick

I love my MTX. I like the cut that I get with the scissors. I've never had a problem with it at all. The mini draw poker has helped me out with a few plugs in the end of my smokes. That's a good price. Go for it.

I used to use the scissors, but switched to a SAK or Palio. Not because it didn't make a good cut, but because I like the feel of the others. Makes a good cut and you should be happy with one.

Hearfelt is a sponsor here, nice to support our sponsors.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm gonna pull the trigger later today and yes I'll be getting them from Heartfelt. I always try to support our sponsors. Dave's a good guy and he has always treated me well. I’ll probably go with the polished finish because I think the gold or black Teflon finish may get scratched up with the keys and stuff.

I have the bead-blasted MTX & love it. It cuts perfect everytime.

Tip: pinch the scissor-blades when closed and hold it that way when closing - these things will shave off your fingertips with ease if you're not carefull.

I've had mine dangling from my key-chain for over a year & they still look & cut as good as new.

OK, I ordered it from Heartfelt at lunchtime and it already shipped.
$29.52 total with shipping! I should have it by Friday or Saturday.

I got the bead blast finish so I can be like AJ. :smokingco

Actually Xikar said it is the most durable finish of the four.

Thanks again guys.

I have three; one for each set of keys. They were a life savior when cuttres were banned on planes for a while. Never had a problem as they look like a key chain. Never without a cutter.

Palio for me. Don't own, but have used the MTX and I love me Palio (I find it more comfortable). Though the scissors do come with some extras...

I have used both and they are both great. I think the scissors are just so awesome!
This way sound weird but I rolled up a ply of toilet paper to cut and the scissors just sliced through it like butter. The Palio on the other hand wasn't able to cut through it at all, I was rather disappointed. However when I did use it to cut a cigar I was very pleased. I personally would only use those two cutter. I also do have a bullet punch by xikar.
