  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Im trying to to find my first cutter. I was thinking either a palio or xikar but my friend (that I usually always smoke with) got himself a palio. So I figured that I would pick myself up a xikar just to have somthing different. I wanted to see what people thought because I was thinking on getting either the scissors or the cutter. I never cut with either so wanted to see what everyones take was. Thanks in advance.

Good scissors are hard to beat, I have been using a pair of Donatus for ten years, still sharp and still make a perfect cut. Scissors are a bit bulky to carry around with you away from home on those occasions I use a Palio.

Get the Xikar, any company that has reps as hot as Belinda gets my business!

Xikar is what I use. It works fantastic and I think its hard to beat the appearance of the Xi3 redwood. I love mine.

Thanks everyone. I'm probably going to go with the xikar cutter. My friends palio seems to stick a little when using it, which I didn't like. And I don't think you can go wrong with either company.

Yep, but is this going to be for your smoking lounge. If so I nice pair of scissors will great but if you take it out I would say Palio.

Well last night was my graduation party. With countless cigars that I got from friends and family, my buddy surprised me with a pair of xikar scissors. They are awsome with the multi tool and everything. I was surprised that they fold up rather nicely and its perfect to put on a key chain. Also my brothers girlfriend got me some sticks and this cutter....http://www.cubancrafters.com/products.php/item_id/2887.....that I also tried last night. This thing is great and you get perfect cuts with it everytime.
