We have a thread basically having fun with CA's upcoming top 25 cigars due out in January. So if you guys were the judges what would be on your top 25 of the year list? I am to much a newbie to honestly answer this myself so I will learn from you guys for a while. :cbig:

Ok I will try a top 25. I found that CA's list helped me a lot when I started smoking. I used it to develop my palate and find quality sticks. I had NO idea what I liked and found myself spending lots of money on sticks that weren't very good. By using there ratings I could spend money knowing that there was higher chance I would enjoy the cigar, rather than blindly picking cigars out. With there ratings I could find brands, and eventually blenders I enjoy. I don't always agree with CA or CI, but it is nice as a newer smoker to have a reference to compare against.

10. Aurora Puro Vintage 2003
11. Padron Serie 1926 80th Maduro

This is what I think CA's list will look like. IMO most of these sticks will be in their top 25. The top 5 I listed will be the same cigars in their top 5. The order will vary a lot i'm sure, but I feel that it will have most of these cigars.
I'm sure I missed some stuff that there is no doubt that it will be on the list.

Contenders

- Don Pepin Garcia Preferidos
- Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona

When i was in Vegas back in October, the Davidoff store in the Palazzo sold them for $8.90, everything else in there started at $25.00 and up... I bought a couple thinking i was stealing them.... Only to come home and find out that it's a $6.00 stick!

(Gotta Love Vegas!) :chat:

The La Traviata will be in the top 5, I am thinking...

 Could be very true. Most of those were ranked pretty high by CA so who knows.
